Filipa Melo Lopes
I am a Lecturer in Social and Political Philosophy at the University of Edinburgh. I am also the current director of the Scottish Feminist Philosophy Network.
My areas of academic research are feminist philosophy, social theory, sexual ethics, and the work of Simone de Beauvoir. I've also written for a wider audience on fashion and misogyny, 'sugar babies', and incel violence. I grew up in Portugal, studied in Norway, received my B.A. from Simon Fraser University, in Canada, and received my Ph.D. from the University of Michigan. |
